The drawing ‘Celestial Sisters’ was part of an exhibition in the Van Gendthallen in Amsterdam in the summer of 2019.
Hand-drawn in high detail, the image at first glance looks like a print. However, the artist has spent 600 hours creating this work. Line after line, all by hand with millimeter thin fineliners. In her work she reflects on the impact of mass consumption and the numbness our society forces upon us. She is hoping to trigger the spectator to look at their surroundings with attention and to be present in the moment.
Size: 150 x 200 cm
Material: fineliner and watercolor on paper
