The painting is named Serenity not only because of the expression on the models face, but more so because the act of painting it was a refuge for my busy mind.
Handpainted in high detail, the image at first glance looks like a print. The utmost concentration is needed in order to keep the lines sharp and my clothes clean.
After many trials with different types of paint, I finally found the shade of blue I had in mind for this piece. Needless to say, I adore the work of Yves Klein.
